I should be studying. Or working out. Or going to work and putting a dent in my monstrous mountain of debt. Yesterday in attempt to make this week more productive than the past ones, I did all that AND cleaned the whole damn house. (it's a big house gimme props) Anyways, lil bro stops by the other day just to kick it and talk some shit, and mentions that he's been wanting to pick up the guitar.. I used to mess around with the six-strings myself so I thought, fuck it. Let's do it. So today I picked up my mom's guitar, sat in front of the computer to once again utilize the vast amount of resources avaialable to me via the internet, and thought, what is this hip-hop-head going to do with the guitar? Well let's see...
Start off with the Nas' remix of 2Pac's - Thug Mansion
(I got a better version on my computer, makes me think I should start making my own youtube videos so yall can hear the versions I'm listening to when composing these posts. This is the best I could find.. AND it's censored, what the fuck.)
Here's Lupe on Superstar if I redid it, it would be the remix with TI's verse, "okay, now anyone who know me, know me to ride.."
Also, search as I might, I couldn't find one that everyone should ALREADY know, Dynamite Hack's rendition of Eazy E's - Boyz In the Hood If you want it, ask me for it, I think you should have it.
Then along the search for acoustic hip hop covers I found a couple pretty entertaining ones. Watch these links for real, I lol'd.
Jay Brannad mixes NWA - Straight Outta Compton with TLC's Waterfalls
This one is hilarious,a country ass version of Snoop Dogg - Gin and Juice
There are a couple other good ones out there, but my attention span has met it's end, time to do something else.
